Disability has traditionally been looked on as special needs Focus on solving the individuals problem Generally you cant change the person and it would not be appropriate to try Equality and Diversity Defining Disability (and other discrimination)

Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requires reasonable adjustments Changes to the way we structure or do things that are reasonable in order to remove a barrier to the inclusion of a disabled person Equal opportunities is about removing barriers to the inclusion of people who are different from the norm Equality and Diversity Defining Disability (and other discrimination)
