Managing eDossiers in Livelink Marc Gelissen Country General Manager Morningstar
eDossiers in Livelink Business challenge –Structured and unstructured information about one employee/client is stored and accessed from different sources and/or systems –No uniform manner to store documents –Authorization is of the upmost importance Solution –Group different sources of information in one eDossier (360 degrees view) –Create this eDossier based on external system –Base new dossiers on predefined templates –Standardizing authorization and metadata
Create the paperworld digitally
Dossierobject The dossier object can consist of multiple tabs with the following object types: –External resources or systems HTML XML files (Including stylesheets) Connections to external systems (Custom made) Connection to AIA-ITP Software (Document composition) –Folders The columns which are displayed in de folderview can be configured manually. –WebForms –Document Assembly connections –Virtual Folders VirtualFoldersPlus TM makes it possible to show search results in a familiar Livelink® folder without the user noticing that in fact a search is executed when they select the folder.
Dossiertemplate The eDossier template is the blueprint for all future dossiers. The eDossier template defines: –Tabs –Content of tabs (External sources, Folders, Forms or Virtual Folders) –Default documents and document templates –Metadata –Complete authorization-model
Creating eDossiers in Livelink The creation of new eDossiers can be done in two ways: 1.Manually Adding new dossiers by adding a dossier item and selecting a dossier template as a base. 2.Automatically When connected to an external structured data system the Dossiermodule can add new dossiers automatically. For example: When you connect the module to a Employee registration system, it can automatically create a new dossier when a new employee is added.
