2 بـســـم الله الرحمن الرحيم In the Name of God, Lord of Mercy and Lord of Grace بـســـم الله الرحمن الرحيم In the Name of God, Lord of Mercy and Lord of Grace The word طَاغِينَ means: The inordinate, Malicious, Oppressive

3 Of Themes in the Quran طَاغِينَ There are a good many themes in the Holy Quran. One of these themes is طَاغِينَ طَاغِينَ The word طَاغِينَ appears in about 39 Ayahs These references have variable flavors of meaning and connotations طَاغِينَ The word طَاغِينَ comes in red and its English translation comes in red too. Looking at the entire theme gives a better understanding of what the message entails.

4 سورة البقرةسورة البقرة - سورة 2 - آية And when they meet those who believe, they say: We believe; but when they go apart to their devils they declare: Lo! we are with you; verily we did but mock. Allah will throw back their mockery on them, and increase their trespasses; so they will wander like blind ones; To and fro. These are they who have bartered Guidance for error: But their traffic is profitless, and they have lost true direction, وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَىٰ شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِئُونَ اللَّهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الضَّلَالَةَ بِالْهُدَىٰ فَمَا رَبِحَتْ تِجَارَتُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ

5 سورة البقرةسورة البقرة - سورة 2 - آية 256 Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects false deities and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ ۖ قَدْ تَبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ ۚ فَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ لَا انْفِصَامَ لَهَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

6 سورة البقرةسورة البقرة - سورة 2 - آية 257 Allah is the guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of the darkness into the light; and as to those who disbelieve, their guardians are false deities who take them out of the light into the darkness; they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide. اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُمْ مِنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

7 سورة النساءسورة النساء - سورة 4 - آية Haven’t you seen those to whom a portion of the Book has been given? They believe in idols and false deities and say of those who disbelieve: These are better guided in the path than those who believe. Those are they whom Allah has cursed, and he whom Allah has cursed, you ( O Muhammad ) will not find for him any helper. أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبًا مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْجِبْتِ وَالطَّاغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هَٰؤُلَاءِ أَهْدَىٰ مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا سَبِيلًا أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَمَنْ يَلْعَنِ اللَّهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ نَصِيرًا

8 سورة النساءسورة النساء - سورة 4 - آية 60 Haven’t you seen those who pretend that they believe in what is revealed unto thee and what was revealed before thee, how they would go for judgment in their disputes to false deities though they were ordered to reject them? But Satan's wish is to lead them astray to far away from the right. أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوا أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ وَيُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا

9 سورة النساءسورة النساء - سورة 4 - آية And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill- treated?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!" Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of the devil. So fight the minions of the devil. Lo! the devil's strategy is ever weak. وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَصِيرًا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُوا أَوْلِيَاءَ الشَّيْطَانِ ۖ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا

10 سورة المائدةسورة المائدة - سورة 5 - آية Say: "O people of the Book! Do ye disapprove of us for no reason other than we believe in Allah, and the revelation that has come to us and what came before us, and that most of you are transgressors? Say: Shall I inform you of him who is worse than this in retribution from Allah? ( Worse is he ) whom Allah has cursed and brought His wrath upon, and of whom He made apes and swine, and he who served the Shaitan; these are worse in place and more erring from the straight path. قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ هَلْ تَنْقِمُونَ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَاسِقُونَ قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشَرٍّ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۚ مَنْ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ الْقِرَدَةَ وَالْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ الطَّاغُوتَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ عَنْ سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ

11 سورة المائدةسورة المائدة - سورة 5 - آية 64 The Jews say: Allah's hand is fettered. Their hands are fettered and they are accursed for saying so. Nay, but both His hands are spread out wide in bounty. He bestows as He will. What has been revealed unto thee from thy Lord is certain to increase the contumacy and disbelief of many of them, and We have cast among them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection. As often as they kindle a fire for war, Allah extinguishes it. Their effort is for corruption in the land, and Allah loves not corrupters. وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا بِمَا قَالُوا ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنْفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنْهُمْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَا أَوْقَدُوا نَارًا لِلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا اللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ

12 سورة المائدةسورة المائدة - سورة 5 - آية 68 Say: O followers of the Book! you follow no good till you keep up the Torah and the Gospel and what is revealed to you from your Lord; and surely what has been revealed to you from your Lord shall make many of them increase in inordinacy and disbelief; grieve not therefore for the unbelieving people. قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنْجِيلَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنْهُمْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

13 سورة الأنعامسورة الأنعام - سورة 6 - آية 110 And they swear a solemn oath by Allah that if a sign came to them they would surly believe in it. Say: Signs are only with Allah; and what should make you know that when it comes they will not believe? We too shall turn to their hearts and their eyes confused, even as they refused to believe in this in the first instance: We shall leave them in their trespasses, to wander in distraction. وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ جَاءَتْهُمْ آيَةٌ لَيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْآيَاتُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَا إِذَا جَاءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

14 سورة الأعرافسورة الأعراف - سورة 7 - آية 186 Do they not consider the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever things Allah has created, and that may be their doom shall have drawn nigh; what announcement would they then believe in after this? Whomsoever Allah causes to err, there is no guide for him; and He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. أَوَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ مَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ ۚ وَيَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

15 سورة يونسسورة يونس - سورة 10 - آية And if Allah should hasten the bad to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but We leave those who hope not for Our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. And when affliction touches a man, he calls on Us, whether reclining, sitting, or standing; but when We remove his affliction, he passes on as though he had not called on Us on account of the affliction; thus what they do is made fair-seeming to the extravagant. وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ الشَّرَّ اسْتِعْجَالَهُمْ بِالْخَيْرِ لَقُضِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَنَذَرُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ وَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنْسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنْبِهِ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَائِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُ مَرَّ كَأَنْ لَمْ يَدْعُنَا إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّ مَسَّهُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

16 سورة هودسورة هود - سورة 11 - آية Continue then in the right way as you are commanded, as also he who has turned to Allah with you, and be not inordinate O men!, surely He sees what you do. And do not incline to those who do wrong, lest the fire touch you, and you have no guardians besides Allah, then you shall not be helped. فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَنْ تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا ۚ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنْصَرُونَ

17 سورة النحلسورة النحل - سورة 16 - آية And verily We have raised in every nation a Messenger, proclaiming: Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then of some of them Allah guided, and there were others against whom error was due; therefore travel in the land, then see what was the end of the rejecters. Even if you ( O Muhammad ) desire for their right guidance, still Allah assuredly will not guide him who leads astray. and there is none to help them. وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ ۚ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ إِنْ تَحْرِصْ عَلَىٰ هُدَاهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي مَنْ يُضِلُّ ۖ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ

18 سورة الإسراءسورة الإسراء - سورة 17 - آية 60 Behold! We told thee ( O Muhammad ) that thy Lord does encompass mankind round about: and We appointed the sight which We showed thee as an ordeal for mankind, and ( likewise ) the Accursed Tree in the Quran. We warn them, but it only increases their inordinate transgression! وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ ۚ وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا طُغْيَانًا كَبِيرًا

19 سورة الكهفسورة الكهف - سورة 18 - آية And as for the lad, his parents were believers and we feared lest he should oppress them by rebellion and disbelief. So we desired that their Lord might give them in his place one better than him in purity and to mercy. وَأَمَّا الْغُلَامُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَا أَنْ يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ زَكَاةً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًا

20 سورة طهسورة طه - سورة 20 - آية Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he has transgressed the bounds. ( Moses ) said: My Lord! relieve my mind And ease my task for me; And remove the impediment from my speech, So they may understand what I say: اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ قَالَ رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

21 سورة طهسورة طه - سورة 20 - آية Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and be not remiss in remembering Me; Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he has transgressed the bounds. Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may he hasten with insolence against us, or may play the tyrant. He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with both of you, Hearing and Seeing. اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِآيَاتِي وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكْرِي اذْهَبَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَيِّنًا لَعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ قَالَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَنْ يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَا أَوْ أَنْ يَطْغَىٰ قَالَ لَا تَخَافَا ۖ إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَا أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ

22 سورة طهسورة طه - سورة 20 - آية O Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and we made a covenant with you on the side of the holy mountain, and sent down on you the manna and the quails, (Saying): Eat of the good things We have provided you with, and transgress not in respect to them lest My wrath come upon you: and he on whom My wrath comes, he is lost indeed And lo! verily I am Forgiving toward him who repents and believes and does good, then continues to follow the right direction. يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَدْ أَنْجَيْنَاكُمْ مِنْ عَدُوِّكُمْ وَوَاعَدْنَاكُمْ جَانِبَ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنَ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَىٰ كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا فِيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبِي ۖ وَمَنْ يَحْلِلْ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبِي فَقَدْ هَوَىٰ وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِمَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَىٰ

23 سورة المؤمنونسورة المؤمنون - سورة 23 - آية And lo! Surely thou ( O Muhammad ) summon them unto a straight path. And lo! those who do not believe in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. And if We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِنْ ضُرٍّ لَلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

24 سورة الصافاتسورة الصافات - سورة 37 - آية They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: now we shall taste (the doom). We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray Then lo! this day they both will share in the doom. قَالُوا بَلْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا ۖ إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ

25 سورة صسورة ص - سورة 38 - آية This is for the righteous. But lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil resort Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting- place. Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, And other torment of the kind in the two extremes! Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! هَٰذَا ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَآبٍ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ هَٰذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ وَآخَرُ مِنْ شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ هَٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُقْتَحِمٌ مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُو النَّارِ

26 سورة الزمرسورة الزمر - سورة 39 - آية And as for those who keep off from the worship of the idols and turn to Allah, they shall have good news, therefore give glad tidings ( O Muhammad ) to My servants, Those who listen to the Word, and follow its best: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with understanding. وَالَّذِينَ اجْتَنَبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ أَنْ يَعْبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَىٰ ۚ فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَاهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ

27 سورة قسورة ق - سورة 50 - آية (The sentence will be:) Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; Who sets up another god along with Allah. Do ye hurl him to the dreadful doom. His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was himself far astray." أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ مَنَّاعٍ لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُرِيبٍ الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ

28 سورة الذارياتسورة الذاريات - سورة 51 - آية Similarly, no Messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said of him in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! Have they charged each other with this? Nay! they are a transgressing people. So withdraw from them ( O Muhammad ), for you are in no wise blameworthy, But teach thy Message for teaching benefits the Believers. And I have not created the jinn and the men only that they might worship Me. كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

29 سورة الطورسورة الطور - سورة 52 - آية Therefore warn men, ( O Muhammad ). By the Grace of Allah you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. Or say they: he is a poet, one for whom we may expect the evil accidents of time? Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!" Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they outrageous inordinate people? فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُمْ بِهَٰذَا ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ

30 سورة النجمسورة النجم - سورة 53 - آية And verily he saw him yet another time Near the Lote-tree beyond which none may pass: Near it is the Garden of Abode. Behold, the Lote-tree was shrouded in mystery unspeakable! His sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong! For truly did he see, of the Signs of his Lord, the Greatest! وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ عِنْدَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَىٰ إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَىٰ

31 سورة النجمسورة النجم - سورة 53 - آية And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; (the Mighty Star); And that it is He Who destroyed the former tribe of A'ad, And the tribe of Thamud He spared not; And before them, the people of Noah, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. So there covered them that which covered. Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَىٰ وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَىٰ وَثَمُودَ فَمَا أَبْقَىٰ وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ فَغَشَّاهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ

32 سورة الرحمنسورة الرحمن - سورة 55 - آية 7-9 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance In order that ye may not transgress due balance. So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ

33 سورة القلمسورة القلم - سورة 68 - آية Then some of them advanced against others, blaming each other. They said: "Alas for us! We have indeed transgressed! It may be that our Lord will give us in exchange a better garden than this: for we turn to our Lord in repentance!" Such was the punishment. And verily the punishment of the Hereafter is greater if they did but know. فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَلَاوَمُونَ قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا طَاغِينَ عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَاغِبُونَ كَذَٰلِكَ الْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ

34 سورة الحاقةسورة الحاقة - سورة 69 - آية 4-6 ( The tribes of ) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning! And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a violent fierce wind, كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ

35 سورة الحاقةسورة الحاقة - سورة 69 - آية 9-12 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. And they disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord, therefore did He grip them with a tightening grip. We, when the water of Noah's Flood overflowed beyond its limits, carried you, in the floating Ark, So to make it a reminder for you, and that the retaining ear might retain it. وَجَاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَنْ قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَابِيَةً إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ

36 سورة النبأسورة النبأ - سورة 78 - آية Lo! Hell lurks in ambush, A home for the transgressors They will abide therein for ages. Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, Except a boiling fluid and a murky one, intensely cold, A fitting recompense for them. For lo! they feared not the account; They called Our revelations false insisting in denial. إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا لِلطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا لَابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا جَزَاءً وِفَاقًا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا

37 سورة النازعاتسورة النازعات - سورة 79 - آية Has the story of Moses reached thee? Behold, thy Lord called unto him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- Go to Pharaoh for he has transgressed all bounds: And say to him: Have you a desire to purify yourself from sin?- 'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so you should fear Him?' هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ فَقُلْ هَلْ لَكَ إِلَىٰ أَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ

38 سورة النازعاتسورة النازعات - سورة 79 - آية The day on which man shall recollect what he strove for, And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for all to see,- Then, for such as had transgressed, And had preferred the life of this world, Lo! Kell will be his home. But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, Lo! the Garden will be his home. يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا سَعَىٰ وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِمَنْ يَرَىٰ فَأَمَّا مَنْ طَغَىٰ وَآثَرَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ

39 سورة الفجرسورة الفجر - سورة 89 - آية 6-14 Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with Ad, Of the city of Iram, with lofty pillars, The like of which were not produced in the land? And with Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; And with Pharaoh, lord of stakes? All these transgressed in the lands, And heaped therein mischief upon mischief. So thy Lord poured on them the scourge of His punishment. Lo! thy Lord is ever watchful. أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ إِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلَادِ وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِي الْأَوْتَادِ الَّذِينَ طَغَوْا فِي الْبِلَادِ فَأَكْثَرُوا فِيهَا الْفَسَادَ فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ

40 سورة الشمسسورة الشمس - سورة 91 - آية Thamud denied the truth in their rebellious pride, When the most wicked among them was deputed for impiety. And the Messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink! But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and razed their dwellings. And He fears not its consequence. كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا إِذِ انْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا

41 سورة العلقسورة العلق - سورة 96 - آية 1-8 Read: In the name of thy Lord Who created, He created man from a clot. Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- Who teaches by the pen, Teaches man what he knew not. Nay, but man does transgress, In that he looks upon himself as self- sufficient. Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغَىٰ أَنْ رَآهُ اسْتَغْنَىٰ إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَىٰ

42 In Conclusion, Read Surah of Asr وَالْعَصْرِ By the declining day, إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ Lo! man is a state of loss, إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance
