And if so….

How much does each Watt-hour cost?

How much electricity can one person generate?

How much is one half-hour session worth?

How many half-hour sessions are required to pay the bikes off?

How much energy is produced in that many sessions?

It would take 12 ½ years pedaling at 150W non-stop on each bicycle to offset their cost with energy savings.

A $400 repair would add 1 ½ years of pedaling to each bike.

Nobody asks how long a weight set will take to pay itself off.

Why is the acquisition of energenerating bikes in Evergreen’s best interest ?

They will contribute to Evergreen’s mission of sustainability.

They cost less than non- generative exercise bikes… <

They cost less than non- generative exercise bikes… < …and the CRC needs new exercise bikes anyway.

They may not generate a great deal of energy…

…but every little bit counts.
