What is Hall Council? Hall Council is a student-run organization dedicated to advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development. It is an organization of students committed to developing leadership, honoring diversity, recognizing achievement, promoting scholarship, as well as stimulating engagement and involvement among students who reside in the residence halls.

Why Join? Hall Council is a great way to get connected to other residents and make a difference in your community. It is a great resume building experience that helps students get involved early on in a CU leadership role.

How Can I Get Involved? You can run for a number of Executive Board positions, or be a non-elected General Body Member. Questions? _________, or talk to your Resident Advisor! All ________ residents are welcome to get involved and make a difference in their community!

President This position will plan, lead, and attend all weekly Hall Council and Executive Board meetings. This position must attend Residence Hall Association (RHA) campus-wide retreats and trainings/summits, and work closely with their RHA-assigned Herd Buddy to establish a strong Hall Council. This position will also attend weekly RHA meetings as needed (Mondays, 5:00pm). This position will hold regularly scheduled office hours in the RHA Office, as well as meet regularly with their Hall Director Advisor. This position is responsible for the recruitment and retention of Hall Council members, and must work to support Hall Council Executives in their assigned duties (with the support of the Hall Director Advisor).

Vice President of Administration This position must attend weekly Hall Council meetings, record minutes, and take attendance. This position will track the Hall Council budget, and ensure that finances are correct and up-to-date.

Vice President of Programming This position must attend weekly Hall Council meetings, taking on the role of planning and implementing at least one program per month in their residence hall. This position will take the lead in marketing and promoting Hall Council programs, events, and meetings.

Vice President of Recognition and Service This position must attend weekly Hall Council meetings and work to create a culture of recognition and service in their residence hall community. This position will be in charge of writing OTMs (Of the Months) and coordinating the End of the Year Award process on behalf of their residence hall. This position will also plan and implement service opportunities for their residence hall community.

Residence Hall Association (RHA) Senators (Multiple Positions Available) This position must attend weekly Hall Council meetings, as well as represent their residence hall at weekly RHA Assembly of Representatives meetings (Mondays, 5:00pm). They serve as the liaison between RHA and their Hall Council, and represent their residence hall in campus-wide programming, advocacy, and legislation.
