Purpose To support student learning through long-term relationships

Although the K-2 Circle is a pilot program at Destin Elementary, the model is research based with proven success. It is a 3 year cycle

The K-2 Circle is made up of 3 teachers and their students: Ms. Noser – Kindergarten Mrs. Woodham – First Grade Mrs. Howell – Second Grade All 3 teachers work closely together and have the same expectations for behavior and academic growth.

Subjects taught: Ms. Noser – Kindergarten Reading and K,1,2 Science Mrs. Woodham – 1, 2 Reading and Language Arts, K Writing and Social Studies Mrs. Howell – K, 1, 2 Math, 1,2 Social Studies

Additional notes: All students will have PE with their grade level The K-2 students will have lunch at the same time.

Last but not least: The students in Ms Noser’s class will become Mrs. Woodham’s 1 st grade class next year. Mrs Woodham’s 1 st grade class will be Mrs. Howell’s 2 nd grade class next year.
