Laboratory Training in Fabrication & Characterization of Organic Devices Achilleas Savva and Stelios A. Choulis Molecular Electronics & Photonics Laboratory Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering Cyprus University of Technology Limassol September 2014

Course Description (5 ECTS) Τhe course provides an introduction to experimental techniques used for the processing and characterization of organic electronic materials and optoelectronic devices. Subjects include: 1) The main categories of electronic materials suitable for organic electronic applications (conjugated and conductive polymers, small molecules, metal oxides, metals, etc 2) Materials and device characterization techniques with emphasis in their electrical and optical properties. 3) Low cost solution processing techniques for the fabrication of organic electronic thin films and optoelectronic devices. 3) Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs) and Light emitting diodes (OLEDs) device fabrication and characterization. The students are taught experimentally the circle of organic electronic materials for device applications (Structure/Properties/Processing/Devices).
