RESULTS OF THE PROJECT’S ACTIVITIES RESULTS OF THE PROJECT’S ACTIVITIES Asti, 18th and 19th january 2008

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT General objective: To achieve an increased participation of young men (between years), in their role as a partners, parents or future parents and participants on domestic and familiar tasks through the implementation of local coordinated strategies. Specific Objectives: 1. To Modify traditional gender roles, indirect discriminations and access to opportunities conditioned by stereotypes, encouraging young men (18-45 years old), on Local/European level, to build new models of interpersonal and familiar relationships. 2. Strength the function of Local Public European administrations as responsible organisms and active promoters of gender equality public policies, through the creation of networks and participative methodologies.

EUROPEAN ADDED VALUE

ACTIVITIES: DIPUTACIÓN PROVINCIAL DA CORUÑA (ES) Content development to awareness campaigns directed to young men about the benefits of changing gender roles : tv spot, brochures, radio programs first transnational meeting (Spain) for consolidation and consensus on the project time schedule and tasks; Conciliation and Coresponsibility diagnostic content design; outlining of awareness campaigns second transnational meeting (Italy) with the presentation of the campaigns and thediagnostic results; presentation of theatrical and multimedia workshops III transnational meeting (Estonia) in which will be analysed the project’s products and results. Presentation of a video synopsis of the project. Elaboration of local strategic politics for equal participation. NARON COUNCIL : EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT ACTIVITIES RESULTS

ACTION 1: CO-RESPONSABILITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN Target population: men between 18 and 45 years old and citizen in general. Period: May and december Campaign message: It based on institutional images or messages for the campaign framework. Campaign content: In Narón, in the public squares and in our institutions, we realized street workshops (about ironing, folding and arranging the clothes) Workshop timing: 2 hours. *Estimated group of specific population participated in awareness street workshops: 350. *Estimated group of men between 18 and 45 years old participated to the street workshops: 90.

Action 2: Co-responsability diagnostic 1.QUESTIONNAIRE GROUND 1.1.Objective To identify the co-responsability level In domestic task Population to analize They did the questionnaires boys and girls between 9 and 16 years old. 1.3 Collected data 50 questionnaires of a total of 211.

CONCLUSIONS:  The woman still has the major role in the domestic and family tasks.  The cleaning activities are those that are emphasizing more distance between men and women.  The joining tasks between mother and father are in general beyond the domestic field.  A important variable of the tasks has a determinated influence on co-responsability tasks assumption.

ACTION 3: THEATRE WORKSHOPS All awareness activities have consider local social context in order to profite all resources. We have tried to achieve the participation of all local population and results have been even better than expected Schedule and timetables have been observed TOTAL PARTICIPATION: 91 (60%men, 40%woman)

ACTIVITY ORGANIZATION AND DESIGN  The selection procedure make possible to achieve difussion among differents social target groups in Naron council  The differences between target group was positive for the results achieved  The activitis organised was developped in rural area  Women also participated in the projet

CONCLUSIÓNS: Best level of participation, better than the predicted one Best level of activity general development, with the achievement of all games and practices forseen Best level of aroused interest regarding the participants to the theme target of activity work Best level of participants satisfaction, that express to the end of each workshop and questionnaire
