ADVICE Follow your passion – Why? Robb Nash/Values/ Morals/God given talents and gifts! Goals! Know your yourself - it is not always about what you are going to do but also how you are going to live your life and give back. Success is different for everyone! Be open minded and start exploring Plan A, B, C – be ready for change  How you learn, live, communicate and work are and will continue to change in the 21 st century!

Tonnes of local business people, parents, uncles, aunts – contributing members of our society. Remember success is different for everyone! Values! Morals! Choices! Why?

A ROAD MAP FOR TEENS Step 1: Knowing yourself  Who are you? What is important to you? Likes? Interests? Step 2: Exploring possibilities  try out different areas, list of options that best fit you – networking, try things out Step 3: Making a choice  goal setting (50% more likely to achieve goals if written down) Step 4: Making it happen  Putting your plan into action and learning along the way – learning is life long, focus on the journey as well Step 5: Re-evaluate/Re-assess The workplace of today for Canada’s youth: - An average of 17 employment transitions in their working lifetime. - A variety of occupations in up to five different sectors of the economy - Planned and unplanned gaps of no work (Source: Guiding Youth: Finding a Career Path and Connecting to Work)
