Writing a Percent as a Fraction a.5% 5/100 1/20 b.125% 125/100 5/4 1 1/4 Write as a fraction with a denominator of 100 Simplify Write as a mixed number

Writing a Percent as a Decimal A. 2.2% 2.2%= 2.2/100 = = Write as a fraction with a denominator of 100 Divide by moving the decimal point left two places. You may need to write one or more zeros.

Writing a Number as a Percent a = 33/1,000 = 33.3/100 = 33.3% b.7/80 7/80 = = = 8.75%

To write a percent as a decimal, write the percent as a fraction with a denominator of 100. Then divide to convert the fraction to a decimal. To write a decimal as a percent, rewrite the decimal as a fraction with a denominator of 100. Then write the fraction as a percent. To write a fraction as a percent, divide to write as a decimal first.

Ordering Rational Numbers Order the following numbers from least to greatest. 0.35, 2/5, 30%, and 53% 2/5 = % = % = %, 0.35, 2/5, 53%

Ordering Rational Numbers Four students surveyed their English classes asking, “Do you have a pet in your home?” They reported the results as 0.35, 2/5, 30%, and 53%. Order the results from least to greatest. 2/5 = %= %= 0.53 Write each fraction or percent as a decimal Since 0.30 < 0.35 < 0.40 < 0.53, the numbers in order from least to greatest are 30% < 0.35 < 2/5 < 53%

Write each percent as a fraction or mixed number in simplest form A. 58% B. 72% C. 144% 29/50 18/25 18/125

Write as a decimal A. 62.5% 0.625

Write each number as a percent A. 0.4 B. 46/200 C % 23% 175%
