Lesson 4 – Series and parallel – plan http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/clips/zpj34wx

How do you think these differences affect the current and potential difference in these circuits?

Learning Objectives Keywords Parallel circuit Series Circuit Current Potential Difference Describe what the difference is between a parallel and a series circuit Describe how A and V vary in both circuits

What do we know already? How Do you measure current? What is the charge of a Proton, Electron, Neutron? How do we measure potential difference? Amp meter in Amps Positive, negative, and neutral Voltmeter in volts

Lets have a look at what we are doing to day http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/clips/zrg6sbk

Please Answer What are the differences between series and parallel circuits? How does the current change between a series and a parallel circuit? How does the potential difference differ between a series and a parallel circuit? Can you explain your observations on current and potential difference?

This lesson I have learnt: circuits can be in series or in parallel   in a series circuit, the current is the same everywhere   in a parallel circuit, the current in each branch is the same but add together to make the total current of the circuit.
