 Grosse Pointe North, commonly called North, opened in 1968 after Grosse Pointe High School split into two schools.

 The interim principal is Tom Tobe  The Assistant Principals are Tom Beach - 11 th /12 th  Kate Murray - 9 th /10 th  The Athletic Director is Ben Bandfield

 As of 2011, approximately 1400 students were enrolled at North.  North was ranked #899 on Newsweek’s 2008 list of Best High Schools in America.  North received an “A” on the Michigan Report Card.

 North has won numerous State championship titles:  Boy’s Baseball  Girl’s Basketball  2001,2002- Boy’s Hockey  Girls’ Lacrosse and Swimming and Diving

 Your primary job in high school is to learn.  Take all of your classes seriously.  Come to class with all of your materials.  Study a little bit each day for each of your classes.

 Get extra help from your teachers as soon as you are not comprehending.  Get involved in extracurricular activities.  Plan for the future- think about what you want to do when you get out of high school.

 Even if you’re having a bad day, try to stay positive.  Talk to lots of people.  Be friendly to your teachers.  Be yourself- don’t give into peer pressure.
