One Provider of Salvation Jesus Christ

“He is the Savior…” Acts 4:10-12 – let it be known to you all, & to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

“He is the Savior…” John 4:42 – Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him & we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

“He is the Savior…” Phil 3:20 – For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

“He is the Savior…” 1 Tim 4:10 – For to this end we both labor & suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

“He is the Savior…” Titus 1:4 – To Titus, a true son in our common faith: Grace, mercy, & peace from God the Father & the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. 2:13 looking for the blessed hope & glorious appearing of our great God & Savior Jesus Christ (cf. 3:6; 2 Tim 1:10; 2 Pet 1:1, 11; 3:18)

“He is the Savior…” Heb 5:8-9 – though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the author [causer] of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

“He is the Savior…” Heb 12:2 – looking unto Jesus, the author [causer] & finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, & has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

“He is the Savior…” John 4:10 – Jesus answered & said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, & who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, & He would have given you living water [eternal salvation].”

“He is the Savior…” John 3:14-15 (Jesus) – And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ▫ Numbers 21:4-9

One Place of Salvation The church

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 1:22-23 – And He put all things under His feet, & gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. 4:4 – There is one body & one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling (Matt 16:18). ▫The local church is a body (1 Cor 12) ▫“Church”(5:23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32)

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 1:3 – Blessed be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 1:7 – In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Rom 3:24-25).

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 1:11 – In Him also we have obtained an inheritance being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 3:6 – that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, & partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, [what is that promise?] ▫ Titus 1:2 – in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 2:12 – that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel & strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope & without God in the world.

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 2:13, 16 – But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ…16 – and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

“He is the Savior of the body” Eph 3:11-12 – according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness & access with confidence through faith in Him. ▫Permission to approach God’s throne in prayer (Heb 4:14-16; 1 John 5:14-15) ▫Those outside Christ not permitted (1 Pet 3:12)

Into Christ’s body (church)

Salvation in Christ’s body ( church ) Old Testament Illustrations: Eight souls were saved in the ark (Heb 11:7; 1 Pet 3:20; Gen 6:17-20; 7:1-4, 21-23) ▫The church will be saved from God’s wrath on the judgment day (1 Cor 15:24-26)
