How to create a Navpod Before you start you are going to have to do two things: 1.Save/Create the image somewhere on your computer. 2.Have all the paths for the link locations as well as text.

Save/Create the image somewhere on your computer. Since we are copying from right nav objects that aren’t really Navpods, but (modified Blocks that were imported in with the original website setup), we will do things a bit differently. In this case, we can grab the image by right clicking on it and Save Image As it somewhere on our computer. This way we will have it for our REAL navpod.

Have all the paths for the link locations as well as text. Just to make life easier when we go to do the Navpod, grab the link location(s) to any of the links in the pod, both for the image and the text beneath (which usually are the same link). Also grab the text if you don’t want to retype it in the real navpod.

Select Add Content; then select Navpod. You might not have rights to see Navpod in the list, if not, let me know and I will grant that access. Select Add Content; then select Navpod. You might not have rights to see Navpod in the list, if not, let me know and I will grant that access. Now that you have all the elements for your Navpod, (saved in a way that you can Browse to them), you can choose Navpod from the Add Content menu.

Browse for the image so it will be uploaded. Don’t forget to hit the upload button. You should see a preview of the image. Browse for the image so it will be uploaded. Don’t forget to hit the upload button. You should see a preview of the image. Add your navpod text. Triple-check your links to make sure they are going where you want. Be sure to include Alternate text to explain the image for the seeing impaired

Scroll down the page to the settings. Change the pages that the navpod will appear on. In this case, since it is in the same micro site, the path is merely the page name as you see the screenshot example. Include a title and URL. Click the Save button.

I forgot my title and it stopped me. I also forgot that the path is without the opening slash or it will be invalid. SAVE I forgot my title and it stopped me. I also forgot that the path is without the opening slash or it will be invalid. SAVE

Success! You made your Navpod! Now lets see if it shows up on the page you wanted… Notice the Weight..that determines the order, the lower the weight, the higher ie will be on the list.
