Objectives At the end of the project my students will be able to learn the respiratory systems learn the nervous System learn the awareness of the dangerous effects of smoking. Learn to declare that public places should be declared the smoking free zones areas

Unit Summary As a teacher of class 7th I observed that many of our students develop smoking habit as a fun without knowing its harmful effects on their lives. Smoking causes many diseases like cough, shortness of breath, blood pressure, lungs and mouth cancer, creates depression and destroys nervous system, restlessness etc. Seeing this situation I have decided to do a project to create awareness among my students why addiction is bad and how it affects our health and creates disorder in our body systems. Students will assume the role of doctors; they will study the effect of smoking on our nervous, respiratory, circulatory, and other body systems. They will work in groups and investigate the causes and effects of smoking on our health. They will make a persuasive presentation to convince students of their age to avoid this habit and to be healthy in life. They will be encouraged to create a blog and ask students and their friends to sign in and promise they will stay away from smoking or any other kind of addiction that is injurious to health. They can also share stories which demonstrate how addiction destroys a person and his/her family from their surroundings.
