Greek Housing

Greek Housing Most houses in ancient Greece were built out of stone and clay. The roofs were covered with tiles (also the floors) or reeds. The houses had one or two stories and they had high walls. They also had wooden furniture that was sometimes decorated with gold, silver or ivory.

Greek Clothing

Greek clothing The ancient Greeks wore Light loose clothing because of the weather. Long pieces of chiton were used to make Greek clothing. The chiton were dyed in bright colors and decorated with embroidery. Most Greeks walk bare-footed. When they went out, they sometimes wore light leather sandals or leather boots.

Greek hairstyles

Greek hairstyles Wealthy women would have their slaves put their hair in the latest styles. From around 500 BC , the fashion for Greek men was short hair and a well trimmed beard. After about 350 BC, men's’ hair was very short and most men had no beards at all.
