Greetland Goldstars have taken a massive step towards making Greetland Community Centre and Goldfields a safer place to be, by supporting the purchase of a defibrillator, along with other organisations based at the centre A defibrillator is a machine that delivers an electric shock to the heart when someone is having a cardiac arrest. Acting quickly when someone is in cardiac arrest and fighting for their life is crucially important. When someone goes into cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chance of survival by 10%. Each manager of Greetland Goldstars has a responsibility to ensure they are aware of the logistics around the use of this machine. Awareness may safe a life...ignorance may result in death
