MS. ARCHER’S SPANISH CLASSROOM RULES and PROCEDURES RULES: 1.Be in your assigned seat by the start of class, with only your Spanish notebook and a writing implement on your desk unless otherwise instructed. 2.During class, when we are working on stories or questions together, sit up straight and show me with your eyes that you are paying attention. 3.Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak unless otherwise instructed 4.No cursing or teasing. Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself. 5.Follow instructions the first time they are given. PROCEDURES: 1.Entering the room: Be in the room by the official start of class. Take out your pencil or pen, and a Spanish notebook. There should not be anything else on your desk (no food or drinks). Either hang things on your chair or put them under your desk. It is very important to keep the aisles clear. Remove headgear and make sure your pants are pulled up. If you need to borrow a pencil, do so at this time. Then quietly get to work on the Que Hacer Ahora 2.Readiness: Come prepared with a Spanish notebook, a pen or a pencil, and homework ready to turn in. If you need to borrow a pen or pencil, sign one out and return it at the end of class. When you return it, put a check next your name. If you don’t return the pen or pencil, you lose 2 class participation points for the day. (You can also exchange your pencil for one of mine that is sharp.) 3.If you are late: Enter the room quietly and take your seat quietly. Start listening as soon as you walk in the door, and even while you get settled. If the class is already working on something and you can’t figure out what to do, quietly ask a neighbor. 4.If you are absent: Check the folder for your period in the blue box at the front of the room for a sheet with instructions for what you need to make up and turn in to me. Required work will also be posted on homeworknow.com. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!! 5.If you need to use the bathroom: Signal me with a sign language B. When I nod OK, sign the log and take the bathroom pass. Leave the room quietly. Do not fold the bathroom pass. When you return, enter the room quietly, place the pass underneath the log and take your seat. 6.If you need to throw something away: Hold your garbage at your desk and throw it away at the end of class. If you have an urgent reason to throw something away during class, wait for a break and then sign me with the sign language G. It I nod yes, quietly get up and throw it away. DO NOT THROW GARBAGE FROM ACROSS THE ROOM!!! 7.If you need a late pass to your next class: Get the late pass form from me. 8.If you need to go to the nurse: Get a pass from me and then go to the principal’s office to get permission from Ms Hanley or Ms. Gail. 9.Dismissal: An assigned time keeper will let me know that there are 5 minutes left by making the time-out sign. Do not start packing up and do not leave until I tell you to do so. Fecha: jueves, 4 de febrero de 2010
