8 Training Overview Registration Starts October 29th End users will enroll in a session using the eDevelopment tool supported by HRIS Location Chicago: Tarry Building, 1st floor 300 E. Superior Project Cafe Training Rooms and Evanston: University Library Training Rooms B234 and B238
9 LRTL Responsibilities Newsflashes Project Café will provide newsflashes to LRTLS for distribution starting week of Oct. 15 including topics such as: o Roll-out & timing o Training & Presentation dates Audience o Personnel identified on ‘PTView Audience’ spreadsheet o Administrators o Project Coordinators o School’s/Dean’s office staff o Central unit users Dates o See the PT View Communications Plan for dates of communications
10 LRTL Responsibilities Posters Project Café will distribute posters for LRTLs to place in appropriate areas throughout their school/department(s) o Available at October LRTL meeting o Each LRTL will receive 3, but can request additional via to Marylou Novak o Hang posters no later than Oct. 31st Training Verify administrators, coordinators, staff and central unit users attended training o Project Café will distribute lists of end users enrolled in training for your review o Remind end users in your school/department to enroll
11 Café Responsibilities Create Posters Create Newsflashes Distribute Newsflashes Faculty and Post-Docs o Majority of newsflashes are the same for each group o For newsflashes that differ, a copy will be sent to all LRTLs for informational purposes Create and Distribute Communications for Cognos Advanced Query end users
12 Help Desk/Support Project Café applications will use a three-tier support structure. Tier 1: TSS NUIT Support Center Tier 2: TSS/Project Café Support Consultants Tier 3: Central Unit and Project Café Support Consultants Benefits of the this approach include the following: Makes use of existing help desk tools (Remedy), procedures, and personnel to perform non-application related tasks Ensures skilled application resources are focused on application related issues Provides a consistent approach for all Caf é and Research systems
13 Help Desk/Support Contact TSS NUIT Support Center at HELP, option 6 Process End users are immediately routed to Tier 2 Project Café Support Consultants who: o are dedicated to the Café applications o have functional and business process training o have hands-on experience with each application o work directly with the Project Café team and central offices. Issues that cannot be resolved at Tier 2 will be routed to OSR and/or Project Café.
