Mr. Andrew’s Bio You may call me “Mr. M” or “Mr. Montzingo.” I’m 29 years old born July 18 th 1986 from Rochester, New York. Been married for 4 years to my wife Amanda. I will become a daddy in October! I have two dogs Wolfie and Bailey. I love sports and love to take trips to exciting places. Graduated from Central Washington University. During class meeting, or recess time you may ask me more questions.

Entering the Classroom  Greet the Teacher  Hang jackets/hats, and back pack.  Take out binder with homework  Do lunch choice and attendance  Find your seat with your name on it  Read the Morning Message. If your late, or 8:35am make sure you go to the office and then come to class with a note. What’s Enthusiastic?- having or showing of great excitement and interest. “How’s your PMA?” (Positive Mental Attitude) Response: Jump up and yell, “Boy I'm enthusiastic”

Hallway Procedures We will walk in a single file line. We will stay Straight, Spaced, and Quiet (SSQ). We will not cut each other in line. We will walk back to the start if the line isn’t quiet.

Listening When I ding the bell. Please stop what you are doing, and make eye contact with me to show that you are ready to listen. You listen with eyes, ears, and body faced towards me. Please put things that will distract you away.

When speaking… “Please, Thank you, Your welcome!” During announcements there is no talking. Voices in the room will be at a 0- No talking 1- Whisper 2- Inside voice 3- Outside voice (Rare)

Desks You will have assigned desks 1 Just right book 2 sharpened pencils Whiteboard/dry erase pen/eraser Keep area clean. Only a water bottle.

If the plan isn’t followed… We all make mistakes, but we can all learn…. Consequences(Class Dojo behavior) 1- Verbal Warning/Take a break 2- 5-minutes of recess and reflect about the behavior. What I did? Why I did it? How I’m going to change? 3- Contact your parent by phone/ * If behavior continues or is severe you’ll meet with the Dean or Principal

If the plan is followed…. I believe people who have good behavior should be spotlighted. Rewards (Class dojo) 1-You’ll be successful! 2-Verbal Praise! 3-Spotlight note home *If behavior is above and beyond outstanding I will contact your parents by phone/ . Class Points= Party Most team points= the blitz trophy award What’s a Spotlight? “Two for __________, on ready!” “Ready” Everyone claps twice!

Snacks Water bottle at your desk at all times. Only fill when it’s all empty. You may bring a healthy snack. I suggest pack a big lunch. Snack is at 10am. Lunch is at 12:10pm.

Homework Weekly: 125 minutes or more of reading (reading logs are due on Fridays). Any kind of reading can be logged (newspaper, studying for a test, etc.). Word work packets will be due every other Friday. Daily: Math Homework Sheet You may bring home unfinished work/projects on occasion. This work will be due the next morning. I believe in no homework on the weekend!

Turning in your work Make sure your name is on your paper! Homework Patrol will collect. Incomplete homework=automatic 2 consequence (Reflection) and a study club time at lunch recess.

Grading 4= Exceeding grade level expectations for skills & performance 3= Meeting grade level expectations for skills & performance 2= Nearing grade level expectations for skills & performance 1= Below grade level expectations for skills & performance Feel free to ask me about your grades throughout the year.

Before you leave school…. We will have a Classroom Meeting for 5-10mins, we will reflect on the day with spotlights. Checklist  Check mailbox  Clean classroom and desk area  Push in chairs or stack chairs  Grab belongings (Lunch, Jacket, Backpack)  Homework and handouts in binder  Pack your backpack  Sit in the meeting area.

Dismissal I will dismiss parent pickup and walker’s first. Secondly, the bus groups will line up and walk out with me. We will walk in SSQ. Wait in your bus line respectfully and quietly. Be ready to learn tomorrow.

Absences If absent go to the homework cubby for the week and look for the assignments for the days you were absent. The assignment will be due the following day. If you have questions, or need help, please talk with me at recess.
