What was Abraham’s childhood like?

W HAT WAS A BRAHAM ’ S CHILDHOOD LIKE ?( CONT.)  He grew up in Indiana.  He was born in a log cabin.  His mom died when he was 9 years old.  He had one year of “real” education.  He loved to read and learn from any book he could get his hands on.

W HAT WAS A BRAHAM ’ S CHILDHOOD LIKE ?( CONT.)  Abraham Lincoln’s father didn’t allow him to go to school. Instead he had to chop wood, build fences, plant corn, and drive the horses. Abraham’s childhood was very interesting and I hope you enjoyed my short presentation about him and maybe you will stay for my next slide. It will be about what his role was in the civil war. He knew it was going to be a hard challenge to do.  7 states succeeded because of his inauguration.  He was a (wonderful) president during the civil war and it takes great courage to be a leader in a situation like that.
