Endangered Animal Hummingbird By: Gracie Craig

Habitat of Hummingbird The Hummingbird species is only found in the Western Hemisphere, from Southwestern Alaska to southern Chile although most live in the tropics.

Diet of Hummingbird The Hummingbird species mostly eat flower nectar, tree sap, insects, and pollen.

General Characteristics The Hummingbird species have a skinny gray body, a very long beak, dots on its eyes, and 2 long wings.

Why Is it Endangered? The Hummingbird species are endangered because of habitat destruction. Pesticides and invasive plants threaten the future of these beautiful birds.

What Can We Do to Save It? Ways we can help save the hummingbird species is to adopt a hummingbird, meaning sending money to their habitat so people who have a good cause for them can buy the land so people who don’t have a good cause cannot destroy Their habitat.
