Pre master Program 12 months / 2 exams per course Successfully finished within 12 months Maximum 2 exams per course, in the case of separate courses Modules have resits during the quartile Failure means admission is null and void Report special circumstances beforehand Note: not all courses offered twice

Academic Custom and academic offence
Using other peoples work is good BUT Copy / Paste is fraudulent - unless: “Citation marks” Always mention your source of information Penalty: Up to a year’s exclusion from all exams
Exams First exam: after the course Second exam (re-sit, re-exam): next quartile (In modules during the quartile) Register for exams via OSIRIS Note the registration period (40 – 14 days before the exam) Withdraw via OSIRIS – 24 hours before the exam at the latest Bring student card Do NOT cheat
European Credits 1 EC = 28 hours of work (the actual effort may of course vary per person) 60 EC = 1 year Each course = 5 EC (thesis = 30 EC) Grades: 1 – or less = fail 5.5 or more = pass

Some tips and tricks for non-Dutch students It is advisable to have at least two non-Dutch students in working groups for assignments, especially during the first quartile. Dutch students tend to have many extra-curricular activities: sports, work, committees, boards, … Red = sour; blue = sweet If you wish to mix with other students try Student Associations: social, cultural, musical, … Study Associations Sports Associations
