then, we can get the form and meaning of the present perfect passive voice as follows: form: have/ has been done meaning : sth.has been finished before you say it e.g.. 1) His homework has been finished before his mother comes to pick him up. 2) His homework hasn’t been finished until his mother comes to pick him up. 3) ---Have his homework been finished? --- No, he hasn’t

4. although conj. in spite of 虽然,尽管 Correct the following sentence False: Although he is only a boy of sixteen, but he has learned to talk with the foreigners in English. Correct: 1) Although he is only a boy of sixteen, he has learned to talk with the foreigners in English. 2) He is only a boy of sixteen, but he has learned to talk with the foreigners in English. Reason: Both “although” and “but” are conjunctions, but in one sentence only one conjunction can exist.

5. Any reason? It is an elliptical sentence. The one is “Is there any reason?” 6. I don’t think it’s necessary to buy the bigger one. Sentence pattern: I don’t think it is necessary to do sth Meaning : I think it is not necessary to do sth, E.g..I don’t think it is necessary to go there by bus. It is very close and we can go there on foot.
