Provide an organizational tool for citations Searchable database of your references Includes journal articles, books, theses, conference proceedings, and the list goes on and on and on… A way to manage a collection of PDFs Makes citations and bibliographies easy for written work Can share citations w dept and friends!

Many possibilities Mendeley (free) Zotero (free) Readcube (free) EndNote ($$$) LaTex (free, but older and less user friendly) …

What is Zotero? Created by George Mason University Can be completely web-based or standalone Searchable database of your references Includes journal articles, books, theses, conference proceedings, and the list goes on and on and on… Makes citations and bibliographies really easy to insert into document
