Rotary can help by….. Mobilizing its tremendous resources and like Polio Plus use its political leadership and advocacy to effectively combat the HIV/AIDS pandemic Supporting the Millennium goals of the UN to eliminate gross poverty by 2015 Encourage Canadian government to commit funds Being aware of the facts of the HIV/AIDS pandemic Support a project in sub-Sahara Africa that supports the survivors of AIDS Support a project sub-Sahara Africa that helps alleviate poverty (water, health, agriculture, micro-business, etc)

Palgrave Rotarians can help by……. Educating ourselves in the nature and scope of the problem (guest speakers, visit websites of Rotary Clubs already actively involved, share what we are doing with other clubs, etc) Financially support existing projects through Rotary organizations such as RADAR 7080, RFFA (Rotarians for Fighting Aids), Rotary AIDS Project (Los Altos Rotary Club), etc Partner with local Rotary Clubs in AIDS devastated areas and ask what assistance they need

What Palgrave Rotary is doing…… Bringing awareness to the club through this presentation Identifying potential partnering clubs in Uganda and Kenya Seeking the support of Dave Dryden of SCAW to ‘personalize’ any contacts we may make Seeking to sponsor our own Rotary Club of Palgrave project as part of our 25 th Anniversary year
