DIGITAL EDITION AND LIBRARIES in APPRENTICESHIP NETWORKS Dean Project 10th, 11th y 12th December IES Avenida de los toreros

DEAN ProjectMadrid meeting December 2008 Objectives of the Project Whereas within knowledge society new ways of learning related to methodologies and means are radically fostering a change thus we set up a project based upon three main objectives: To learn the resources of both the digital edition and organization of digital libraries. To learn to use both digital documents and libraries as method and means of learning. To set up and use the cooperative network of education.

Partnership Objectives Leonardo objectives Improving the attractiveness and quality of VET Development and implementation of common tools for VET Strengthening mutual learning Taking all stakeholders on board Dean objectives To encourage reflection on the side of institutional staff To foster opportunities to staff through ICT use and mobility To provide continuous training in technological innovating environments. Setting up groups for the creation of a digital library and network will assure the free exchange of knowledge between VET. DEAN ProjectMadrid meeting December 2008

Tasks Of Dean One main tasks of DEAN consists on the organization and cooperation between participating centres through ICT tools fostering discussion-on-line, information and exchange of experiences summed up to project meetings. The project is carried on as a perfect means to develop computing skills and each institutions ability. This should encourage each participating institution to develop its own communication computing tools on Internet as forums, blogs, video conferences, wikis, etc,.and as many as the institutions encompass to help communication and current information for users. Consultation on-line by staff and learners; wider use of electronic edition; new tools for learning process; learning skills for future needs; transfer of knowledge and development of cooperative actions. DEAN ProjectMadrid meeting December 2008

Evaluation We should be measuring what learners can do with knowledge, not how many right answers they can give to questions papert. DEAN ProjectMadrid meeting December 2008
