ANNOUNCEMENTS… Why? They are your students’ first glimpse into the course each day!

What purpose do announcements serve? O Inform! O Instruct! O Celebrate!

Announcement Expectations O Post an announcement daily (Mon – Fri) by 8:00 a.m. O Daily announcements should inform, instruct, and celebrate.

How do I instruct using announcements? O With a video (make or find) O With an example (text or graphic) O With text (explanation) O With a picture (relates to topic) O With an interactive (teaches or reviews)

How do I celebrate using announcements? O With an encouraging picture O Using their names (text, wordle, glitter text) O With “well-wishes” from you (voki, voice announcement) O Use their name in an example O Comic (bitstrip, toondoo)
