Clough Now INFO IS WHAT YOU NEED!!!! *************************************************************************** Written by: Jade North, Tabitha Dudley and Karianne Turner. Comic Strips By: Kieran Lilley One day Mrs Rooney told all the year sixes that they could have a camp out on the field for one day, they were so happy for it is the leavers party! They will also have a BBQ, and maybe a water fight or campfire depending on the weather. The whole school are also doing something too, and that is to have a disco before the camp with the PTA organising it!! It will be so much fun for the year sixes and the whole school!! The date for it all is: Tuesday 23 rd of July!! :D

On Wednesday 27 th March, we had a disco!! They sold drinks and sweets and we got to have our choice of songs.Everyone was DANCING! They were having a really good time by the look of it. Did YOU enjoy the Clough disco? The little ones CERTAINLY enjoyed it! Here is the order of classes that had the best moves: 1 st place is Willow Class! 2 nd place is Chestnut Class! 3 rd place is Oak Class!

Do you like EASTER?! We do! On the 31 st of March, it was Easter time, where we all got to eat our chocolate eggs! There are lots of flavours for Easter eggs, like milk chocolate, white chocolate and lots more! They are surrounded in a colourful cardboard box which can come in all shapes and sizes. Lots of Easter eggs were in the shops. Enjoy your egg.

School Council have decided to change the name of the classes from 1, 2 and 3. It was hard for them to think of a theme, but now they are called: Oak Class (class1), Chestnut Class (class2) and Willow Class (Class3) due to the theme of trees as we have a tree symbol on our school logo. Its hard trying to get use to the new names, but it’ll soon become a normal thing!

What’s going on in Oak Class? Oak Class have been very busy. They are learning about all kinds of different stuff. For example, in topic we have changed from Africa to Ancient Greeks, in maths we are subtracting using decomposition, in literacy we are rewriting some Ancient Greek stories of our own and in science we are learning about rocks and soils!

What’s going on in Chestnut Class? In Chestnut Class, the children are learning about minibeasts. They have made lots of little black and white spider webs which they have put in their window……they look GREAT!

What’s going on in Willow class? Willow class have been learning about Oceans and Seas. The have made models and paper fish! The y6’s: Tabitha Dudley, Jade North, Karianne Turner and Amelia Kember have also made a large treasure map back drop that you may soon see!

Our next issue will be out soon, keep buying clough now, just 30p! Remember to bring your money in on the appropriate days that are: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. And practically all week if you have forgotten your money, just come up to us at any time and we will find you a copy. THANX FOR READING!!! ;)
