Take a class survey of the different ethnicities of each student in the classroom. Graph the ethnic background of the class. Research the different cultural communities that reside in the state of Ohio. Write the Ohio government and ask how the government deals with the specific needs and demands of various cultures. Class will have a cultural feast. Students will bring in an authentic dish from a chosen cultural. Choose an Ohio hero from the book Hero’s of Ohio and create a diorama depicting the hero’s accomplishments.
