WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 13, 2013 CO: SWD analyzing the figurative language in a text by determining the meaning. LO: SW read and explain key ideas in drama using focus questions.  7 minutes--Bell Work: Turn to page R12 in your book to see the definition for blank verse. Use the information in the definition to complete these sentences on your bell work paper. Copy the 6 sentences into Wednesday’s slot.  Blank verse is poetry written in _______________ iambic pentameter lines. This verse form was widely used by _______________________. The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is written mostly in ____________ verse.  Iambic pentameter means the author has a pattern in writing. Shakespeare uses blank verse to show character rank in the play. The important characters all speak in blank verse.
