Where on Earth is PERU ? Peru is in South America. Peru is surrounded by Brazil, Columbia, Bolivia, Equator, Chile and the Pacific Ocean. Peru is in the southern and western Hemispheres.

What is the climate in Peru? It is hot in the jungle. It is cool in the mountains. Very few people live in the hot jungle. Most of Peru is too dry, steep, or wet for farming. Very little rain falls in the Plains.

What food does Peru eat? The most important foods in Peru are potatoes, peppers and rice. Hundreds of potatoes grow in Peru. Native Peruvians probably were the first ones to grow potatoes. Peruvians that live by the ocean often eat fish. Corn on the cob is a favorite vegetable.

SCHOOL IN PERU Children start school at 6 and end at 16 Grade schools last 6 years Children must go to primary and secondary schools 5 years of secondary school Children draw pictures of where they live
