Analogous schemes are schemes using colors that are adjacent each other on the color wheel.

Color Schemes Monochromatic color schemes are when different shades, tints, and/or tones of one color are used. Accented Neutral schemes are schemes using a neutral color combined with a bright accent color.

Choosing Your Best Colors People are not born with color sense, but it is not hard to learn. Color choice depends on your personal coloring, body shape, personality, and present wardrobe. The seasons, special occasions, and what you feel looks good on you also factor in.

Most eyes contain a touch of other colors, pay attention to your hair highlights as well.
