Measuring institutional performance - Project on Institutional Performance Indicators (PERF)- Status EUPAN-meeting Brugge, 24 November 2010

Starting point: to get an insight into performance assessment at institutional level and to identify good practices and innovative solutions For this Presidency, the short term deliverables were to prepare a questionnaire drawing an overall picture of the European performance assessment practices, to identify key processes (KPs) and performance indicators. To collect data (practitioners and academics) To set up working groups debating on the results

Lessons from Leuven: – Clarify the scope of the project: why do we use it? What is the main objective? What are the goals? – Clarify the relationship with other similar projects – Central government / overall administration? Macro or micro? Broad or focused – Clarify the building blocks – build consensus, build trust call for action: send your feedback to the secretariat
