Valga County Partnerships Board activities Measure 1: Community initiatives and cooperation Measure 2: Youth initiatives and cooperation Measure 3: Development and cooperation of enterprises

Measure 2: Youth initiatives and cooperation Action 1: Young Valga County The aim of the action is creating advantaged conditions and varied opportunities for developing the sense of initiative, talents and enterpreneurship of young people. Action 2: Opportunities for youth at country-side The aim of the action is to engage young people more to the community life and designing their living environment, raising youth participation and leadership skills. Action 3: Expanding the network of youth work, counseling and training The aim of the activity is to strengthen Valga County youth work.

Action 1: Young Valga County Applicants can be local municipalities, NGOs and foundations. Open call once a year Total budget: The maximum amount of support: 6400

Open call for ideas once a year Total budget: 7680 The maximum amount of support: 640 Action 2: Opportunities for youth at country-side Applicants can be youth groups (at least 3 young people)

Action 3: Expanding the network of youth work, counseling and training In the main development activities are targeted to creating and developing Valga County youth work network and particular ways of spreading youth information. Financial support both from LEADER program and other funding opportunities (e.g Open Estonia Foundation).

2 – Youth Work Strategy The aim of the strategy: Creating an environment that guarantees a young person an active life attitude, cooperativeness and success in work life

3 – Newspaper Issued: 4 times a year 2009 –newspaper consists of 4 A3 pages 2011 –newspaper consists of 8 A3 pages 2012 –newspaper consists of 12 A3 pages Print-run: 3500 issues The cost of a single newspaper: 0,70

5 – NGO The founding of Valga County Youth Work Centre Tankla was chosen one of the Youth Work Deeds 2010 in Estonia Valga County Youth Work Centre TANKLA Umbrella organisation for youth workers and active young people Supports the development of the youth work in Valga County

6 – Summer School Duration: 3 days Overnight stay in tents Warm meals 3x a day Always creates a good mood and warm memories for everybody The first common event initiated by the youth workers of the region. From each municipality: 10 young people and 2 youth workers (volunteers)
