Threatened Species A threatened species may soon become endangered. Examples include the Newell’s Townsend’s Shearwater and the Green Sea Turtle.

Endangered Species An endangered species may soon become extinct. There are only a few of each endangered species left on earth. Examples include Humpback whale, Hawaiian Stilt, and Hawaiian Monk Seal.
