PINGAT JASA MALAYSIA First awards not expected to until early applicants assessed eligible for the award as at October 2005 from 7300 so far received.

AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE MEDAL Will recognise the significant commitment and contribution (six years or more). Will include discharge due to some service and enlistment policies of the time. Also extended to death or medical discharge due to compensable injury. Commences from 3 September 1945 (end of World War II).

AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE MEDAL Defence and ex-service community consulted. How to apply will be widely publicised. Approximately assessed to be eligible. Expecting around 1M applications.
