GETTING LICENSED AND THE BOARD EXAMS Step by step

TO BECOME LICENSED TO PRACTICE DENTAL HYGIENE YOU MUST: 1.Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program. 1.Dental hygiene programs go through the accreditation process every seven years. Parkland was recently fully accredited again in 2011.

Pass a Written Exam 2. Pass the Written National Dental Hygiene National Board produced by the American Dental Association. –350 Questions total –200 Stand-Alone questions –150 Case Studies –

3. Pass a Clinical Exam North East Regional Exam (NERB) (May of graduating year) Includes: Practical Exam in the clinic Includes: Practical Exam in the clinic & Prometric computer exam-115 questions-Taken at Sylvan Testing Center (located in Urbana) & Prometric computer exam-115 questions-Taken at Sylvan Testing Center (located in Urbana) Cost approximately $ Cost approximately $ Other Options: 1.CRDTS, WREB, SRTE, 2.
