Fallin Career &Technology Center When researching health and fitness in the workplace, I came across some great information to share with my students. So I decided to add the Health and Wellness information to my professionalism portion of my curriculum. As we discussed living a healthy lifestyle, I realized just how many of my students do not exercise and or maintain healthy eating habits. So we included the Wii to my curriculum and we use it as a means of exercise not play. Students who were hesitant at first have come around and are trying different modes of exercise. Some students were amazed at how much they enjoyed working out! We will have the Allied Health students take blood pressure, weight, and calculate our BMI. I am hoping that students will take this information and help to make healthier choices in their daily lives. Shannon (Burts) Doughty Computer Systems Tech.
