Objective- SWBAT understand the different philosophies developed in early Chinese civilization.

Chinese Philosophy Video Record: 3 facts from the video 2 opinions on the content 1 questions you further have on the topic

Between 500 and 200 B.C., Chinese thinkers developed three major philosophies. Has anyone ever heard of the term philosophy before? If so, who can define it? (Turn and talk)

Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind and language

The three major philosophies in China were Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism. While these philosophies differed from each other, they each had the same goal
