BASICS OF TGP Definition: Regional government initiative aiming to increase the number of R&D projects based on the 12 main pillars with goal of creation of new business in the region. 12 MAIN PILLARS FOR THE TECHNOLOGICAL GOVERNANCE PLAN R&D PROJECTS SPIN OFF AND OUT OF NEW COMPANIES AND PRODUCTS

Development of new industrial sectors in Cantabria with a high tech component. Reinforcement of the collaborative culture public-private, i.e. Academia- Industry. Contribute to the technological added value to the community HEADLINES IN THE TGP

Deeper exploration of the main themes in the TGP. Promotion of R&D and innovation within Industries. Favouring the transfer of technology from Universities and technological centres to Industries. Reinforcement of the development of the Technological Business Park in Cantabria. TGP OBJECTIVES

The main beneficiaries will have their business and investment based in Cantabria: Companies Tech Centres Research groups MAIN BENEFICIARIES

Tech projects with a clear added value to the main pillars of TGP. Clear value for the community in case of spinning out a product. Clear market potential by means of size, competence, … etc. Promotion of a collaborative culture amount Industries and between Industria-Academia. Technical and economical project feasibility studies towards a product spin out. Feasibility studies of a competent business plan. PROJECT EVALUATION RULES (I) FOR ALL:

Projects reinforcing the technological identity of Cantabria. Experience of the applicants within the specific area of expertise. Scientific, tech, and business capabilities. Multidisciplinary team when product developing. Excellent knowledge of the state of the art. Degree of business specialization of the spin off companies and added value to Cantabria. Regional Government: Encouraging and promoting the participation of the companies in R&D projects: FACILITATING PROMOTING Business and entrepreneurs: They will select the most suitable and profitable technical projects with institutional support. CONCLUSIONS

RESULTS 44 presented projects with a total investment of 7 m 17 approved projects with a total investment of 2,5 m and public regional funds of 1,2 m
