LEIA DISPLAY- HOLOGRAMS BY KATHERINE STEELE 1

EXISTING HOLOGRAMS VS. LEIA DISPLAY HologramLeila Display Three dimensional images are made using lasers. Projected image on a two dimensional surface. Produces holograms that can be interacted with. Aiming for live holographic images during calls. 2

ONLY A STEPPING STONE The Polish firm, Leila Display, ultimately aims to create a live 3-D image of callers as they engage in conversations. Star Wars here we come! 3

IN PROGRESS NOWGOAL 4

THE CURRENT SYSTEM Produces streams of barely visible fog Allows images to be displayed in mid air Possible to touch and interact with it Now mainly used for promotion and premieres 5

Screen dimensions: 65cm x 65cm. Projection surface of about 6mm- makes possible to project hi definition pictures Ideal for promotion or presentation Screen dimensions: 3m x 2,5m Screen is ideal for event marketing, stage, fashion shows, trade shows etc LEILA DISPLAY AND LEILA DISPLAY XL 6

DISPLAY SYSTEM IN USE DISPLAY-SYSTEM 7

THE PROCESS 8 Final product available to the public 5 years later Prototype of holographic calling 2015 Leila Display Systems Now

IN SUMMARY The goal is to create Star Wars holographic calling, but for now we have Iron Man’s work station where he manipulates images in mid air. 9
