COALITION FOR GENDER EQUITY IN SCHOOLS Coalition for Gender Equity in Schools (CGES) The purpose of the Coalition for Gender Equity in Schools (CGES) is to make NYC schools safer for all students and free of sexual harassment using an intersectional analysis of its causes Role: Education Policy Advocacy Coalition Framework: Prioritize youth leadership Prioritize youth leadership Incorporate parents’ and teachers’ voices Community organizing Community organizing Intersection of issues
