EWEA Report: In a Nutshell Produced quarterly since 2004 by IASC-SWG Snapshot of emergency contexts around the world Consensus of field intelligence from many agencies

Each EW/EA Report Contains: Summary of highlights/trends Country analyses with colour-coded risk level Matrix of minimum preparedness actions recommended

Definition of risk level : Level of priority: Risk Level Risk ranking based on:  threat to life/ livelihood  likely scale  imminence  likely pop movements  regional implications Red Priority 1 Orange Priority 2 Yellow Priority 3 White Situations on Watch

Change in preparedness level : Preparedness/Response level as compared to previous period  Increased levels of preparedness/response likely to be required  Sustained levels of preparedness/response likely to be required  Decreased levels of preparedness/response anticipated
