Roald’s Childhood o He was born in Llandaff, South Wales. On September 13 th o His parents names were Harold and Sophie. They were Norwegian. o He went to Repton school in Derbyshire, and left school in It was very unpleasant for him. o He was named after the polar explorer Roald Amundsen. o He and 4 other friends were kicked out of school after putting a dead mouse in a sweet jar. It was called The Great Mouse Plot of This was Dahl’s idea.

Tragedy o When Roald Dahl was 3 his sister, Astri died from appendicitis. A few months later his father died from pneumonia at the age of 57.Mr. Dahl’s daughter Olivia died at the age of 7 from measles encephalitis.

R.I.P Mr.Dahl o Roald Dahl died in November 1990 at the age of 74, of a rare blood disease. It is called myelodysplastic anaemia in his home. o He was buried in the cematery at the parish church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul.
