Our Darwin Holiday we are going on a plane

We are going on a plane to visit our family in Darwin. Mummy, N, J & L are ALL going on the plane together.

Going to the Airport We will pack our bags. We will put our bags in the car, get in our chairs and drive to the airport with Grandpa. The airport is where we will get in our plane.

At the Airport At the airport we will give our big bags to the person at the desk. It might be busy at the airport, with a lot of people. We might have to wait and stay calm. You need to stay with Mummy.

Going through Security We will go through security. We will have to wait for our turn. When it is our turn, we will put our bags into little boxes on the table.

Security Time When mummy says GO you walk through Mummy will follow you

Waiting for our Plane We will wait for the plane. The plane is coming! While we wait you can: Sit with mummy Go to the toilet Play with the iPad Have a drink or snack

Plane is Here! The plane is ready. It is time to get on our plane. Mummy will say ‘Lets Go! L, N, J & Mummy will walk to the plane down the boarding walkway.

Boarding the Plane The plane is very big with lots of chairs. Mummy will find our special chairs. Seat belts on! What a good boy!

Waiting to Go We will wait till everyone is on the plane and sitting down. You can play quietly. No screaming please! If you are tired, you can go to sleep

Time to Fly When everyone is ready, the plane will go. You must stay in your chair, with your seatbelt on. The plane will go very fast. It will be noisy. We will go up, up, up in the sky. You can look out the window.

Things to do while we are flying You can look at a magazine read a book play a game on the iPad have a snack or drink cuddle with mummy go to sleep But please keep your seatbelt on and be a quiet boy. It takes a long time to get to Darwin.

Plane is Landing We are nearly in Darwin. We need to tidy up. Nearly time to get off the plane. When the plane stops, we will wait for our turn to get off. We are in Darwin.

We Made It! Aunty Lorna will be waiting for us. We will get our bags, hop in the car and go to Uncle Peter & Aunty Pauline’s house. Then we will all go to bed!
