B RIEF D ESCRIPTION Vets are commonly known as animal doctors. They wear lab coats, they use needles and scalpels, and they work in extreme places if the animal cannot move. They make us feel better by making our beloved pets feel better.

E DUCATION /T RAINING  2-year program for technicians  4-year program for technologists  Must be registered, licensed, or certified, depending on the state.  Vet Medical Assistant- 2-year Associate Degree and 4-year Bachelor Degree.

S ALARY  2010 Median Pay: $21,000$ per year, and $4.28$ per hour

A TTRIBUTES AND A BILITIES Compassion- Veterinary Technologists and Technicians must treat animals with kindness and must be sensitive Manuel Dexterity- Dexterity is important with Veterinary Technicians and Technologists, they must handle animals, instruments, and laboratory equipment with care.
