Helen Alfons Rising Action Home Helen Alfons Rising Action Helen and her husband are forced to the ghetto. She gives up her child to Al, who saves her from the Nazi’s. Alfons becomes a Luftwaffe pilot. He also meets the stud-muffin himself, Rabbit.

Helen escapes from Auschwitz, and tries to go back to Holland. Alfons Helen Falling Action Helen escapes from Auschwitz, and tries to go back to Holland. Alfons is captured by the Americans, who put him on trial for his actions.

Helen and Alfons start teaching students about the Holocaust. Resolution Helen Alfons Helen gets home and finds her daughter. She also finds out that Siegfried died in Auschwitz. Alfons escapes trial and goes to Canada to escape people’s questions. Both Helen and Alfons start teaching students about the Holocaust.

Home Helen Waterford Helen Waterford, a Jewish survivor from the Holocaust, was married to Siegfried before he died. Even though the book is called parallel journeys she still run into Alfons. A picture of the pin that Helen wore.

Home Alfons Heck Alfons at an older age. Alfons Heck, a prized member of The Hitler Youth, helps with Kristallnacht after being “brainwashed” by Hitler, and eventually moving on to being recruited at Luftwaffe [German air-forces]

Home Kristallnacht Alfons was a part of this event, and Helen was attacked so she was greatly affected. Many other Jews were shocked left without a place to pray.

Home Auschwitz Auschwitz was one of the most deadly Concentration/Death camps out there, and one of the only combination of both.

Home Hitler takes power  Helen was greatly affected because she had to give up her home and move to a loaded ghetto. Alfons became a follower of Hitler, and his parent were against everything going on.

Home Hitler Youth Alfons joined the Hitler youth and joining this is how he was recruited to Luftwaffe. Helen on the other hand was tortured by the Hitler Youth, she ran into them multiple times.

Home ☺GERMANY LOSES WAR!☺ Alfons was a impressively high ranked Hitler Youth leader and ended up on trial for execution, he managed to escape and fled to Canada Destroyed Berlin.
