An allocation of 290 crores for the scheme  There is a growing recognition that Adaptation to climate Change is a part of the developmental process rather than separated from it  Climate change must take a “no-regret” approach. Dokumentation Ergebnisse 29./30 August 2006 / Folie 7 Folie 7  Creation of new structures to implement Climate change adapatation vis a vis making use of the existing ones through Convergence –Climate change Adaptation is not an isolated activity and hence may not have a separate plan –Sector plans must integrate Climate change activities –In other words the existing sector plans need to be Climate proofed  Capacities of members of District Planning committees need to be strengthened on issues related to Climate change adaptation  Additionality of climate project needs to be identified and early movers would have the advantage. Lessons learnt
