Cecil County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Reception – April 29, 2011 To keep members in touch with elected leaders and local & state government policies that impact the business climate in Cecil County, the Chamber hosts an active Government Relations Committee along with a series of events designed to provide a forum for interacting with leading public officials. Each Business & Government Relations Event attracts between attendees, and includes the Cecil Night in Annapolis, Legislative Reception following Maryland's Annual Legislative Session, and Annual Legislative Luncheon prior to the beginning of the Legislative Session. The Chamber's Government Relations committee consists of Chamber members from small businesses to top-level executives. This committee is responsible for publishing the Chamber's annual Legislative Brief for Cecil County, which states the Chamber's position on key legislative issues and which is distributed to County and State officials prior to Maryland's Annual Session. A Business & Government Relations (BGR) Sponsor is an advocate of a strong business climate as a means to an overall healthy community, and will be listed on all BGR promotional material and acknowledged at all BGR events

Cecil County Chamber of Commerce “ A Race To Success” June 1 – 3, 2011 This business outreach event is a joint promotional effort sponsored by the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce and the Cecil County Office of Economic Development. This is our way of demonstrating our support to the Cecil County business community. Thank you for keeping your business here, we appreciate having your services available to residents and other local businesses.  The event will take place during Cecil County Business Week and compliment the efforts of the Cecil County Office of Economic Development.  Volunteers from the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce will race to visit businesses all over the county June 1 – 3,  The purpose is to promote our member businesses and encourage businesses of all sizes to join the Chamber and tap into the available resources and support to help stimulate growth and opportunity.
